DfE Christmas ‘gathering’ took place while London was in Tier 2

DfE held staff event but higher education minister did not attend, Research Professional News understands

The Department for Education has admitted it “would have been better” had a Christmas “gathering” not taken place in its offices while London was under Tier 2 Covid-19 restrictions last year.

The DfE said that a “gathering of colleagues who were already present in the office, and who had worked together throughout the pandemic as they couldn’t work from home”, took place on 10 December 2020.
