Education and Defra do not have a seat on UK National Science and Technology Council
Peers have raised concerns about a couple of key education and research departments not having a seat at the table on the UK National Science and Technology Council.
NSTC was set up last year to provide cross-government coordination on R&D issues, and a “strategic direction on the use of science and technology”. It’s chaired by the prime minister and has met a couple of times so far.
