Replicating Vaccine Taskforce success will be ‘challenging’

Kwarteng says creation of mission-focused taskforces constrained by lack of funds, not absence of enthusiasm

The UK’s business secretary, Kwasi Kwarteng, has said replicating the success of the Vaccine Taskforce in other areas of R&D will be “challenging”.

Speaking to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee on 23 May, Kwarteng said the main constraint on creating other mission-focused taskforces was a lack of funds, not the absence of enthusiasm.
