Domestic alternative to EU R&I scheme should improve on existing ones, says Hepi paper
An expert has said the UK’s alternative to EU research and innovation funding, its plan B, can be an “opportunity to learn” from existing schemes and create more attractive ones.
Marco Cavallaro, a researcher of EU R&I funding at the University of Lugano in Switzerland, has said plan B should minimise bureaucracy with simple applications, allow greater freedom for individual researchers, and incentivise participation of less well-resourced universities.
