Civil servants unwilling to give a timeframe for ongoing talks on joining EU R&D programme
The “ongoing limbo” on the UK rejoining the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme is damaging and “a negative in itself”, officials have admitted.
Talks between UK and EU officials are dragging on, despite the Northern Ireland trade deal reached in February that opened the door to the UK becoming associated to Horizon Europe after a two-year delay.
