Defence Innovation Agency to learn from Aria and Darpa

UK government still to reveal how agency will affect existing Defence Science and Technology Laboratory

The recently announced Defence Innovation Agency to be set up by the UK government in early 2025 will learn from the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the UK’s nascent Advanced Research and Invention Agency, Research Professional News understands.

Aria itself was inspired by Darpa in an attempt to set up an impactful innovation agency that is free of red tape and free to fail in pursuit of long-term breakthroughs.
