REF 2021 kicks back into action with revised rules and dates

Revised rules revealed as assessment exercise restarts with a deadline of 31 March

The Research Excellence Framework exercise has restarted after a four-month pause in the assessment of university research quality due to the coronavirus.

The “recommencement” of the REF on 31 July comes with confirmation of revised rules for academics making submissions to the exercise and confirmation of a changed timetable.
