Most institutions request REF output reduction

Advisory panel reveals proportion of universities seeking equality-related dispensation

Almost 60 per cent of institutions planning to submit to the 2021 Research Excellence Framework have requested output reduction based on equality-related staff circumstances.

According to an interim report from the REF’s Equality and Diversity Advisory Panel, 58 per cent of participants have made such requests.
