Scientists brave weather for better predictions

Scientists funded by the Natural Environment Research Council are making the most of the recent bad weather in the UK to make better predictions.

Members of a NERC team have been flying into storms as part of the diabatic influences on mesoscale structures in extratropical storms project, led by NERC’s National Centre for Atmospheric Science.
