The Science and Technology Facilities Council has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland for coordinated research on its free-electron laser facility, the SwissFEL X-ray light source.
Staff from the STFC’s Accelerator Science and Technology Centre will contribute to several projects at the light source, including an investigation into the collimation system for the electron beam.
