Applications to Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council fellowships will in the future be invited only in specific research areas linked to “strategic priorities”, the council has said.
The council is creating a single fellowship scheme to replace its leadership, career acceleration and postdoctoral fellowships, with eligibility no longer based on years of experience, but on specific skills and attributes.
