Major projects including the Square Kilometre Array telescope have been highlighted by Research Councils UK as priorities for future capital investment.
Also on the councils’ wish list for future spending are large-scale projects on food-related disease, regenerative medicine and a dark fibre facility to broaden existing efforts to develop high capacity communications networks.
