Research hub to fuel growing demand for bioenergy

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council is investing £3.5 million in a research hub to investigate developing methods for generating energy from biomass.

The SUPERGEN Bioenergy hub is part of the Research Councils UK energy programme and involves the universities of Aston, Bath, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s Rothamsted research centre.
