BBSRC introduces word count on grant applications

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council has introduced a page limit on grant applications as part of changes made to its responsive mode requirements.

The changes, announced on 17 January, stipulate that an application must not be longer than eight pages and should not include publication costs associated with articles as these are now funded by Research Councils UK.

In addition, applicants are now asked to submit their application alongside a mandatory “diagrammatic workplan” and a plan for data sharing.
