RCUK co-funds ‘priority’ research with China

Research Councils UK will invest £1 million in projects co-funded with China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

The RCUK money will be matched by China, and the funds will back projects researching energy, food security, and healthy ageing populations.

RCUK and China’s ministry formed the “RCUK China” partnership in 2007. On 14 January, it was announced that the China-UK Cooperation Programme in Global Priorities will jointly fund four research projects.
