Research Councils UK has published its first statement on measures it expects institutions funded by one of the seven research councils to take to improve equality and diversity.
The guidance, published on 17 January, sets out expectations and provides suggestions for how institutions might prove they are committed to promoting diversity, such as participation in schemes including the Athena SWAN awards and Stonewall Diversity Champions, which recognise good employer practice in equality in gender and sexual orientation, respectively.
