A cross-council scheme promoting partnerships between synthetic biologists in the UK and China has selected five winners.
The Biotechnology and Biological Research Council, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council are funding the Synthetic Biology China Partnering Award.
The UK recipients of the award are: Nigel Minton from the University of Nottingham, John Ward from University College London, Nigel Scrutton from the University of Manchester, Louise Horsfall from the University of Edinburgh and Gregory Challis from the University of Warwick. The winners will each receive a slice of the £124,000 available for UK researchers.
