NERC clarifies doctoral training applications

The Natural Environment Research Council has provided an alternative form for applications to its Doctoral Training Partnership competition.

This latest addition to the call, an auxiliary form for partners who could not use the original support form “because of the wording within the form” NERC said, was announced on 25 March.

NERC gives the example of a multinational company being associated with a DTP. It says it would be more appropriate to ask a local head of research, who will be actively working with the DTP, to sign the support form—rather than the chief executive, which is what the original wording required.
