UK-India social science partnership launched

A partnership in the social sciences between the UK and India has been launched to develop links between the Economic and Social Research Council’s doctoral training centres in the UK and centres of research excellence in India.

The pilot scheme, announced on 12 March, will involve around 50 early career researchers on a UK-India exchange programme, working on linguistics, health and wellbeing, and history and culture. It is funded by the ESRC, the UK-India Education and Research Initiative and the Indian Council of Social Science Research.
