EPSRC to focus on careers and metrics in next delivery plan

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has outlined the main priorities for its next delivery plan, which is due for publication in March 2016, including people and careers, competition and metrics, infrastructure and intellectual property.

The priorities were identified by attendees of the Strategic Advisory Teams conference in April, and also included future investment, and public understanding, the EPSRC said in an update on 5 June.

Discussion at the conference also reinforced the view that the EPSRC and Innovate UK needed to work together more closely and that more work should be carried out with professional and learned societies.
