Scientists can now create personal profiles of themselves and their work on the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council website as part of a plan to help them connect more effectively with each other.
The EPSRC unveiled the changes to its website on 3 June, saying that they are still in beta testing and will be added to in due course.
The changes include the facility to create accounts and add personal information that may be used for networking in the future; managing email alerts for calls; and bookmarking sections of the site. The website adds that some users will be able to upload documents.
