The Science and Technology Facilities Council and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) have signed a memorandum of agreement to support the UK’s space research and commercial space interests.
The STFC announced a deal that would play to both of the partners’ strengths in satellite instrument calibration and measurement, in a press release published on 2 October.
“Space data is increasingly important across a range of scientific fields, from monitoring solar activity, measuring changes to our own planet, to understanding stars and galaxies,” the STFC said.
