Researchers from Coventry University and Cardiff University will make recommendations to UK policymakers on how to respond to cybersecurity challenges.
The project, funded with £500,000 from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, will explore how UK policymakers analyse and prioritise evidence of cyberattacks, Coventry University announced on 26 June.
The work, which starts this month, follows a string of cyberattacks on British institutions. Most recently, computer systems at University College London and Ulster University were hit by a ransomware virus via email on 14 June.
