Anand Menon, director of the influential UK in a Changing Europe research programme, has become the ESRC’s 2017 Impact Champion.
Menon, professor of European politics and foreign affairs at King’s College London, was commended for being a motivating leader who has engaged with the public in “novel and creative ways”.
Menon is the principal investigator for the ESRC-funded project that has been a constant presence throughout the period of the Brexit referendum and beyond. The project was conceived to make more UK research on European themes accessible to the public and policymakers.
