Guy Goodwin, chief executive of the National Centre for Social Research, has become chairman of the UK Data Forum.
The Economic and Social Research Council announced on 18 August that Goodwin would succeed Tim Holt, emeritus professor of social statistics at the University of Southampton.
The UK Data Forum is a joint initiative between the UK Statistics Authority and the ESRC. It provides strategic direction on the UK national data research infrastructure used in social and economic research.
