ESRC appoints directors of research and strategy

Two senior professors from University College London and the University of Sussex will be in charge of strategy and research at the Economic and Social Research Council.

Paul Nightingale, a professor of strategy at the University of Sussex and a former deputy director of the Science Policy Research Unit, is to become the council’s director of strategy and operations.

Alison Park, a professor of social research at the UCL Institute of Education and director of the Cohort and Longitudinal Studies Enhancement Resources, has become the ESRC director of research.
