UKRI celebrates links with India

The umbrella funding agency UK Research and Innovation is celebrating the rebranding of its outpost in India as the UK government seeks to improve its relationship with the country.

Representatives of UKRI and the Indian government met at an event in New Delhi, attended by more than 250 senior civil servants, academics, policymakers and business leaders from both nations.

Research Councils UK, the umbrella body for the research councils that was abolished with the creation of UKRI, set up an office in India 10 years ago. Since then, more than £300 million has been co-invested in India-UK projects.
