The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has commissioned a study to evaluate the impact of the high performance computing resources it funds, as it prepares to make a case for continued government funding.
The study will be conducted by consulting firm London Economics, which has prepared a survey for researchers in academia and industry who have used any of the high-performance computing facilities and resources funded by the EPSRC during the last decade.
The survey covers facilities such as ARCHER, the UK national supercomputer, and the ARCHIE-WeSt centre for high-performance computing hosted by the University of Strathclyde.
