Research England kicks off knowledge exchange funding

The Research England Development Fund has made its first award to support a project aimed at giving postdoctoral researchers the relevant skills and experience to prosper outside of academia.

The project lead by the University of Liverpool will receive £3.6 million from Research England and another £800,000 from industry and local organisations, the university funder said on 10 April.

This is the first project to receive a share of the £25m of annual funding announced in June 2018 to support small-scale projects that benefit both universities and society.
