The Economic and Social Research Council has awarded an additional £3.19 million to the Brexit-focused UK in a Changing Europe research programme.

Led by Anand Menon (pictured), a professor of European politics at King’s College London, the hub promotes research into the changing relationship between the UK and the European Union. The grant will allow the programme to continue for a further three years, the ESRC announced on 19 June.

The council awarded an additional £4.3m for up to three years to nine senior fellows studying Brexit-related topics ranging from Brexit and the UK’s financial services sector to the future of Northern Ireland. The chosen academics are from institutions across the UK, including the University of Birmingham, the University of Cambridge and Queen’s University Belfast.
