Research organisations across the UK are being invited to bid for a slice of £500,000 at the start of a push for more public engagement activities from UK Research and Innovation.
The umbrella funding body says it wants the Enhancing place-based partnerships in public engagement programme to embed community and public needs within research. Successful projects will have to be driven by community needs, UKRI said on 6 September.
At least 15 grants of between £10,000 and £40,000 are expected to be awarded, with funding allocated through a single-stage expert review and assessment process. The deadline is 21 October.
