Consortium aims to improve understanding of how to tailor treatments and interventions to individual needs
The Medical Research Council has announced a £9 million collaboration with South Korea to develop tailor-made treatments for people with asthma.
The Korea-UK Precision Intervention in Severe Asthma Consortium is supported by the Fund for International Collaboration, along with the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT, and the National Research Foundation of Korea. It will treat the severe form of the condition, and take individuals’ genes and lifestyle into account.
