ESRC head to become Home Office chief scientific adviser

Jennifer Rubin, who has led ESRC since 2018, will take up role in January 2021

Jennifer Rubin, the executive chair of the Economic and Social Research Council, is leaving her role to join the Home Office.

Rubin, who has been at the helm of the ESRC since January 2018, will take up the full-time role of chief scientific adviser and director general of science, technology, analysis, research and strategy at the Home Office in January 2021.
