UKRI becomes first funder to sign Technician Commitment

Funder must now produce an action plan setting out how it will implement the commitment

UK Research and Innovation has become the first funder to sign a commitment aimed at boosting the careers of technicians.

First launched in 2017, the Technician Commitment aims to ensure visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for technicians, technologists and skills specialists working in higher education and research.
