NERC announces £13m environmental omics facility

Facility will provide environmental researchers with access to technology, expertise and training

The Natural Environment Research Council has announced a £13 million investment in a facility aimed at tackling challenges such as biodiversity loss.

Based at the universities of Liverpool and Sheffield, the NERC Environmental Omics Facility (NEOF) will be commissioned for five years with an investment of £2m per year, plus capital funding of £3m.
