Park, who joined funder as director of research in 2019, replaces Jennifer Rubin

Alison Park has been appointed interim executive chair of the Economic and Social Research Council, ahead of an open competition in the coming weeks to appoint a permanent chair.

Park (pictured), who joined ESRC as director of research in January 2019, replaces Jennifer Rubin, who was appointed chief scientific adviser and director-general for science, technology, analysis, research and strategy for the Home Office last year.
