Michael Cuthbert appointed director, as UKRI announces £46.8 million for the commercialisation of quantum technologies

UK Research and Innovation has appointed Michael Cuthbert as the permanent director of its £93 million National Quantum Computing Centre as it announces further investment in the technology.

Cuthbert, formerly a business development director and quantum technologies sector lead at Oxford Instruments, was appointed interim NQCC director in February 2020 and has led the centre through its start-up, including launch and publication of its strategic intent.
