Funding will support 11 new capital assets for environmental research
The Natural Environment Research Council has announced a £10.8 million fund to support research into fields such as air and water quality, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The NERC Capital Call will support 11 new capital assets including an unmanned surface vehicle that will work alongside the RSS Sir David Attenborough research vessel (pictured) to explore glacier fronts and calving ice shelves where the ships cannot operate.
