Ten-year roadmap published by UKRI sets out how agricultural sector can meet net zero target

A new plant science research strategy aims to increase the sustainability of UK agriculture to help the nation meet its 2050 net zero goal.

In the ten-year roadmap, published by UK Research and Innovation on 15 March, Jane Langdale, a professor of plant science at the University of Oxford, identifies several goals, including “significant” reductions in carbon emissions by the UK agricultural sector.
