Leaders of GCRF hubs facing major cuts say letter is “disingenuous” and comes too late
Directors of major research hubs have criticised a letter written by UK Research and Innovation to help them explain the magnitude of research project cuts to overseas partners—labelling it as “disingenuous” and “too late”.
The letter, from UKRI chief executive Ottoline Leyser and UKRI international champion Christopher Smith, says the cuts to research funded by Official Development Assistance are a result of the economic shock of the Covid-19 pandemic.
