UKRI talent director leaves to join Sheffield Hallam University

Rory Duncan to become university’s pro-vice-chancellor for research, and David Shepherd becomes deputy vice-chancellor

Rory Duncan, director of talent and skills at UK Research and Innovation, is leaving the national research funder to join the leadership team at Sheffield Hallam University full time.

Duncan (pictured, left), who joined UKRI in October 2019, will become the university’s new pro-vice-chancellor for research and innovation from 1 April. He will replace Lisa Mooney, who plans to retire, the institution said.
