Appointment “marks beginning of a new era” as institute adopts challenge-based approach to research
The Medical Research Council has appointed clinical endocrinologist Wiebke Arlt as the new director of its London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS).
The funder said Arlt’s appointment “marks the beginning of a new era” for the research institute, where scientists work with clinicians to further the understanding of biology and its application in medicine.
