Innovate UK plans a simpler ‘shopfront’ for businesses

Agency is also planning “new deal” for Catapults to strengthen their “strategic coherence”

Innovate UK’s chief executive has unveiled plans for a simpler “shopfront” for the innovation funder to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to make better use of its resources.

Speaking at the second annual Cleevely Lecture at the Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy on 7 June, Indro Mukerjee said: “We need far more companies innovating in the UK and in order to do that we have to be able to touch, inspire, help and support more and more SMEs.
