UKRI reschedules call dates after complaint from academics

   

Funder moves webinar, interview and closing dates after academics question “integrity” of call

National funder UK Research and Innovation has rescheduled key dates for a £4.5 million funding call to lead an equality, diversity and inclusion caucus, following complaints from academics.

Sam Giles, a senior research fellow at the University of Birmingham, and Rachel Oliver, a professor of materials science at the University of Cambridge, wrote to the funder to complain about the timing and framing of the call, which was published on 9 June.
