Funder launches investigation after Michelle Donelan raises concerns about “extremist views” shared on social media
The national funding agency UK Research and Innovation is suspending a panel on equality, diversity and inclusion—as requested by the science secretary Michelle Donelan.
Donelan wrote to UK Research and Innovation on Saturday accusing members of the panel of sharing “extremist views” on social media in relation to the Israel-Hamas war. The EDI advisory panel was announced last Thursday by the English university funding body Research England.
