UKRI grantees’ letter gathers over 500 signatures, after funder’s handling of science secretary dispute
A letter signed by over 500 UK Research and Innovation grantees has been sent to the national funder in objection to its handling of a dispute involving science secretary Michelle Donelan.
Last week UKRI suspended the work of its new equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) advisory group on the insistence of Donelan, who was angry about the tone of social media posts relating to the Israel-Hamas war that were made by two members of the advisory group.
