New BBSRC executive chair announced

Developmental geneticist from University of Cambridge, Anne Ferguson-Smith, gets top job at national biology funder

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council has revealed its next executive chair.

On 19 December, science secretary Michelle Donelan handed the role to developmental geneticist and epigeneticist Anne Ferguson-Smith. She is also the pro-vice chancellor for research and international partnerships at the University of Cambridge, as well as its Arthur Balfour Professor of Genetics.
