UKRI ploughs £25m into three new virus projects

Funded research is expected to develop longer-lasting vaccines and protect against future health threats

UK Research and Innovation has announced it has awarded three research projects £25 million to understand viruses and develop more effective vaccines.

The projects will look at Sars-CoV-2 variants, immune memory and mechanisms of protection, as well as vaccine strain selection.
