Confirmation of REF 2029 people, culture and environment pilot

REF team confirms timetable for pilot and overall REF exercise

The Research Excellence Framework steering committee has announced a pilot exercise for the expanded people, culture and environment section of the 2029 assessment exercise.

The decision was expected after researchers expressed concern that such a pilot exercise had not been put in place. Towards the end of last year the next REF was delayed from 2028 to 2029, giving the REF team an opportunity for more in-depth testing.
