Rothamsted Research insists its science is “in a great place”, despite pressure on finances

The leading agricultural research institute Rothamsted Research has rebuffed reports it is facing a funding crisis, saying “our science is in a great place”.

The institute (pictured), based in Hertfordshire, describes itself as the oldest continually operating agricultural research station in the world, dating back to 1843.
